Product Review: Stampin’ Up Holiday Catalog 2017 Part 3

October 3, 2017 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog 2017 Part 3

I’ve got one last peek at the new Stampin’ Up Holiday Catalog! If you missed my others you can check out part one here and part two here.

Inside you’ll find page after page of amazing stamps, dies, papers and embellishments for the fall and winter holidays. For Winter and Christmas there are Santas, sweaters, retro girls, cute animals, stockings, lanterns, snowflakes, mittens, trees, gift tags and loads more. For Fall and Halloween there are pumpkins, sunflowers, spooky scenes, witches hats, owls and cats and so much more. You’ll also find products for New Years and Hanukkah too. There are wood, cling and clear mount stamp sets, many with coordinating die sets or punches, lots of different pattern paper packs and embellishments like wood shapes, twine, ribbon, washi tape, charms and tinsel.

For my card shown above I used the super cute snowman (and snow flake) from the Seasonal Chums stamp set and Seasonal Tags dies , cutting him apart and placing him between a piece of Window Sheet inset into my card front. I used the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes dies to cut the opening and the pattern paper is from Quilted Christmas. Here’s what the inside looks like:

For this next card I wanted to put a twist on the Ready for Christmas stamp set and Christmas Staircase dies and I turned it into a Halloween scene. I used candy and the crow stamp from the Graveyard Gate set and bat dies from Seasonal Tags. Adding the black and white twine and coloring the dog sweater with Halloween colors pulled it all together.

Lastly I made this spooky forest scene for Halloween using the Card Front Builder Dies and adding some bats and words from the Graveyard Gate stamp set. This was another card using what was supposed to be Christmas dies for a Halloween twist.
