Product Review: Stampin’ Up Holiday Catalog 2017 Part 2

September 13, 2017 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog 2017 Part 2

I’m back with another look at the new Stampin’ Up Holiday Catalog! Inside you’ll find page after page of amazing stamps, dies, papers and embellishments for the fall and winter holidays. For Winter and Christmas there are Santas, sweaters, retro girls, cute animals, stockings, lanterns, snowflakes, mittens, trees, gift tags and loads more. For Fall and Halloween there are pumpkins, sunflowers, spooky scenes, witches hats, owls and cats and so much more. You’ll also find products for New Years and Hanukkah too. There are wood, cling and clear mount stamp sets, many with coordinating die sets or punches, lots of different pattern paper packs and embellishments like wood shapes, twine, ribbon, washi tape, charms and tinsel.

For my first card (shown up top) I used the Ready for Christmas stamp set and Christmas Staircase Thinlits dies to make this sweet card. This set has so many fun elements to make some great indoor holiday scenes including a staircase, tree, the cutest dog, presents, ornaments, stocking, sentiments and more. I’m love with the dogie begging for cookies!

Next I made a spooky Halloween gate fold card using the Graveyard Gate stamp set. I stamped the gate on the front, die cutting the moon and stars from the Card Front Builder Thinlits dies, placing yellow cardstock behind. The card opens up to revel the inside of the graveyard. I made the hills with the circle Stitched Shapes dies (found in the regular catalog).

For this last card is used the Hearts Come Home stamp set for a village scene, with Santa flying over. I again used the circle dies from Stitched Shapes for the hills stars and moon from the Card Front Builder dies, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite dies!
