Heather used solid rubber stamps and pretty Fall ink colors to stamp her leaves and acorns onto kraft cardstock. She then die cut them and formed a wreath and a pattern onto stamped woodgrain backgrounds. Stamped sentiments and white gems finish off the designs. Where I live the trees are starting to change colors for Autumn, there’s bold yellow, red and orange leaves popping up everywhere. This beautiful color combination is perfect for card making this time of year, use stamps, dies or stencils to include lovely falling leaves or colorful trees on your designs for occasions like Thank You, Thinking of You, Birthday and more. Today let’s jump in and check out some fresh Fall card inspirations.

How darling is this little squirrel asleep in his tree on a nest of leaves!? Channin stamped and water colored this cutie, the pile and swags of leaves using colored ink pads. I love this fun sentiment! Watch her video tutorial over at the Hero Arts blog.
Amy stepped away from traditional Autumn colors for a pastel pallet of die cut and inked leaves placed on a trendy oval faux stitched die. There’s a shimmery gold layered die cut sentiment and a partial dry embossed background for some shine and texture too. Take a closer look at the Spellbinders blog.
Svitlana used layering stencils and filled this stunning card with an Autumn Aspen tree. I love how she stenciled the letters for the sentiment too to create a seamless design. She also cut the letters several times and stacked them for some dimension. Learn more at the Altenew blog.
Carol’s amazing card features a beautiful window with Fall flowers, vines and leaves surrounding it. She used a combination of colored cardstock and white cardstock colored with Copic makers for all her die cut elements. Floral pattern paper and a sweet stamped and die cut sentiment finish the design. Find all the details at the Honey Bee Stamps blog.
Karin’s duo of cards have die cut rows of leaves cut from white cardstock and water colored with tiny gold accents added. These sweet borders separate the white background from green plaid pattern paper. Notice the die cut white scalloped edges, they add such a sweet touch! Find more info at the Lawn Fawn blog.
Shemaine used pastel cardstock to cut her leaves and used beautiful copper foils for wonderful shiny backgrounds. One card has leaves bursting out of a die cut envelope, the other has them surrounding a mug. Tiny pearls and pastel flowers give a soft feminine touch as well. Find step by step directions at the Therm O Web blog.
Instead of leaves being the star of the show they are perfect backdrops for Fall scenes. Cynthia used triangle dies to cut out leaf pattern paper and faux stitching triangles of green cardstock to create this wonderful background behind her stamped and Copic colored Autumn girlie. Take a closer peek at The Greeting Farm blog.
Instead of stamping leaves with colored inks Gina used black ink, stamping them over a pretty background that was created with a multicolored inked acrylic block, spritz with water and “stamped”. It’s such a bold contrast! I spotted this on the Gina K. Instagram page.
Laura’s stunning single leaf really pops on the white background! She used layering stencils for the leaf, die cutting it out and placing it on the card base with a light cream paper with a partial circle die cut so that it frames the leaf. A stamped and heat embossed sentiment and some sequins finish her card perfectly. Check out her video tutorial on the Simon Says Stamp blog.
Instead of colorful leaves Galina used those colors for a stunning sunset and added black silhouettes of leaves, trees, snails, a girl and more. I love the trendy faux postage style and all the additional woodsy elements she tucked around her little scenes. Find all the details at the Waffle Flower blog.
Julies Autumn card has so much nice movement and depth! She placed a detailed swirling die over top of Fall tree pattern papers, removing only some sections. Over that there’s die cut botanicals with ink blending for depth and a stamped and die cut label style sentiment. Learn more at the Brass and Bliss blog.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this stroll through crunchy leaves and beautiful Fall trees!
