How to Make a Moth Birthday Card

How to Make a Moth Birthday Card

I know everyone loves beautiful butterflies but personally I love moths more! So I really relate to one of the new stamp sets released from Lawn Fawn called “I Like Cute Moths”! Moths are just as lovely as butterflies with their variety of wings that come in deep bold or rich earthy colors and those wonderful fuzzy antennae. Christy used this new set to design a stunning birthday card that’s perfect for anyone who loves a hit of nightime spooky with a touch of dark academia all in a collage art style.

How to Make a Moth Birthday Card

She stamped her moths, mushrooms, greenery and stars and colored them in with Copic markers and then die cut them out. She placed them on a pattern paper panel die cut with oval and faux stitched edges, adding splatter to the subtle dots. I love the arrangement of the images, instead of creating a scene it looks more like a Tarot card with a balanced collage inspired layout and the heat embossed sentiment in the center.

Watch her video tutorial on the Lawn Fawn blog.
