Jill’s beautiful blue birds card is stamped in a light ink color and water colored for a soft, pretty look. She masked off the edges and inked inside to create a nice frame and stamped the sentiment in brown and black inks for added interest. Take a closer look at the Penny Black blog.

Marleen’s sweet card is ideal for a newly married couple or for someone who’s bought a new house. She used dies to create her scene, cutting from pastel cardstocks and woodgrain pattern papers. There’s also layers of other pattern papers on the base along with a stamped sentiment. Visit the Marianne Designs blog for all the details.
Birds don’t have to be the main focus, they can be a supporting player in a scene like on this darling Spring card from Amy. The bunnies seem to be chatting to their new bird friend and notice how the bird is blue in a mostly green design? This helps him really stand out. I love how she used her Copics to color and create all the grass and greenery! Learn more at A Thousand Sheets of Paper blog.
Christsy’s fun card has two types of birds, a red Cardinal and some flying bluebirds inside a trendy arch die cut frame. Her stamped sentiment goes perfectly with the singing Cardinal. I love the rainbow in the background and the glitter on the clouds for extra whimsy! Watch her video tutorial at the Christy Gets Crafty blog.
Mindy used solid stamps and black ink for a dark silhouette of birds on a branch. But she’s softened the design with a pastel blue and yellow ink blended background, a detailed lacey die cut frame and a heartfelt stamped and die cut sentiment. I spotted her card at the Gina K. Designs Instagram page.
Pretty pastels are an easy way to bring Spring to a card design like Christine did here. She used a tear drop stencil with pastel inks and some glitter too for an amazing background. The stamped birds on a branch are colored in similar shades with some die cut wreaths behind them to pull in focus. Find more info at the Polkadoodles blog.
Wow, this Spring card from Brenda is simply stunning! The background is a white dry embossed floral panel and over top she created a beautiful scene of blue boots filled with Spring flowers and two sweet birds, all cut with dies. She used ink blended to add some shading and extra color along with a white gel pen to add some detail. She breaks it all down at the Honeybee Stamps blog.
Beautiful die cut teal and pink Hummingbirds are visiting new Spring flowers on this fabulous card. There’s also a trendy die cut faux postage frame around the scene along with a pretty gold heat embossed sentiment that’s also die cut. Take a closer look at the Spellbinders blog.
Catherine used Distress Oxide Inks from Tim Holtz and Ranger to add lovely pastel colors to her die cut images. The darling chick is holding a flower, sitting in some die cut grass with a cloudy sky behind and notice how the large stamped sentiment is colored in the same inks. But the star of the show is the amazing shaker flower element filled with Spring clay confetti. Find directions at the Pretty Pink Posh blog.
Here’s a funny and puny birthday card for someone who might just be over the hill. Cari’s stamped the same little chick three times, coloring with different Copic marker colors, die cutting them and placing them on a chicken wire background. There’s also a die cut frame with plaids and scallops. I spotted her idea on the Whimsy Stamps Instagram page.
Ellen’s fabulous Spring card is in a trendy die cut arch shape with a scalloped lavender frame and a wonderful green foiled floral background created with foiling sheets and three colors of foil. The rooster and little chick, flowers, ground and sentiment have all been die cut. Find more details at the Therm O Web blog.
I love the bold primary colors that Jennifer colored in her cute birds! They are taking turns splashing in the bird bath that’s been filled with glitter glue for some shimmer. There’s also a dry embossed quilted background with a little ink blending in the center to draw in the eye. I love the puny sentiment too! Take a closer peek at the Pink and Main blog.
I hope you have a very tweet day!
