Stencils and Watercolor

Stencils and Watercolor

Lisa combines two popular card techniques, stencilling and watercolor to make these lovely card backgrounds. She’s got several different ways to get the look using ink pads or tube watercolors and all have really pretty results.

I really like this method and your tutorial was perfect. I have very few of the supplies you used, but I’m going to experiment. I would love you advice for using chalk pastels or perfect pearls for this. Would they work? Thank you so much!

Any medium you can “smear” across paper will work with stencils, try apply chalks or Perfect Pearl with a brush over the stencil, it will probably be more soft and subtle look but it will work.

What great advice! The brush is an excellent idea. I’m sure I wouldn’t have thought of that right away. Thank you so much and for your quick response, too! Cathey
