Review: Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog 2016 – Part 2

September 21, 2016 by Heather Holbrook

Review: Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog 2016 - Part 2

I’m excited to be back with another look at the Stamping Up 2016 Holiday Catalog. If you missed part one click here to check it out.

Stampin’ Up is ready to help you get started working on your cards, scrapbook pages, treat bags, party decorations, and home decor projects with the new Holiday Catalog. It’s filled with all new stamp sets (in wood, cling rubber and clear photopolymer styles), punches, die cut sets, embellishments (like washi tape, twine, charms, thread, tassels, sequins and ribbon), embossing folders, pattern papers, project kits and more. You’ll also find lots of inspirations, ideas and helpful tips. There are also several products that co-ordinate with items from the Annual catalog, so you might find stamps that work with dies you already own, it’s so great to get more uses from one set! Products in the Holiday catalog are available from now through January 3rd 2017.

It’s never too early to start working on Winter and Christmas ideas, right? So for my first card (shown at the top) I used the totally adorable Merry Mice stamp set, water coloring the images with an Aqua Brush and ink pads. The bow is from the Jar of Cheer stamp set , die cut with the Everyday Jar Framelits dies. The pattern papers are from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series paper pack. These little mice are ready for the holidays!!

Next I used the candle, tree, snow and word from the Jar of Cheer stamp set, making a Holiday winter scene with the window die from the Hearth and Home die set, from the annual catalog. These stamps work well with the jar that comes with the set or by themselves. The pattern paper is again from Candy Cane Lane.

Lastly I used the large bear from the fun and funny Fa-la-la-la Friends stamp set, stamping on colored cardstock and adding touches of color with colored pencils. The stamps in this set co-ordinate with the Bear Hugs and Fiesta Time Framelit Dies from the annual catalog. I love the punny saying with this one. The pattern paper is from Candy Candy Lane.

I hope you’ve enjoyed these holiday ideas, please come back and join me soon for more ideas and inspirations from the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog. Click here to take a look at all the new products. Or contact your Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for more info.
