June 16, 2017 by Heather Holbrook

Review: Stampin' Up Catalog 2017 Part 2

I’m back with more projects and inspirations from the brand new Stampin’ Up 2017 catalog! It’s loaded with tons of new stamps, pattern papers, dies, inks, embellishments and more. Inside you’ll find wood, clear and cling stamps for many occasions with themes like wedding, baby, birthday and more with designs like cute pigs, rustic wedding, summer treats like fruit and ice cream, beach designs like flamingos, ocean fish and lighthouses, baby animals, mermaids, florals, military, coffee, birthday cakes, transportation like bikes, an RV, a wagon and hot air balloons and lots of phrases and sentiments, just to name a few. There’s also many new coordinating die cuts, lovely new “in colors” in inks, cardstock and ribbon, embellishments like honeycomb balloons, sequins, mini gift bows, washi tape, tassels and gems. You’ll also find lovely designer series pattern paper packs, card and project kits. There’s something for every style and occasion for all your card making, scrapbooking, party and paper crafting needs!

Looking for more Nautical-themed papers, stamps and embellishments? Check these out on Scrapbook.com

For my project shown up top I used the fun This Little Piggy stamp set. I stamped the flying pig and clouds on water color paper and use the Stampin’ Up Water Color Pencils to color the pig, adding some glimmer to the clouds and wings with the Wink of Stella pen. And used a sponge and Tranquil Tide ink for the sky. I die cut a window from the Hearth and Home Thinlits dies , placing a piece of Window Sheet behind for a realistic look. And stamped the words on some of the pretty A Whole of of Love paper. I love how inspirational this card turned out!

Next I made this fun nautical themed card using the Message in a Bottle stamp set , paper from A Whole Lot of Lovely and die from Stitched Shapes Framelits . Instead of describing how I made it you can watch my video project tutorial on Youtube.

For my last card I made a super fun shaker card using the bear, accessory stamps and words from the A Little Wild stamp set. I die cut the images with the Little Loves dies, cutting out a whole big bunch of bees for inside the shaker. The shape of the shaker and the word were cut using the Stitched Shape Framelits dies. The background paper is from A Whole Lot of Lovely.

I hope you’ve enjoyed another look at the brand new Stampin’ Up 2017 catalog. Starting now you can click here and visit the Stmpin’ Up site or contact your local demonstrator to place an order for all the new products. And check back later for more projects (and maybe another video) from me.

A better look at all the bees………
