Review: Stampin’ Up 2016 Catalog Part 3

July 7, 2016 by Heather Holbrook

Review: Stampin' Up 2016 Catalog Part 3

I’m so excited to bring you one last peek at the brand new Stampin’ Up catalog! If you missed my first review click here to check it out or my second review can be found here. Just released this new catalog  runs from June 1st 2016 to May 31st 2017 and contains loads of new wood mount, cling mount and photopolymer clear stamp sets, pattern paper sets, new In Color Collections,  metal die cuts, punches, Project Life collections, embellishments, embossing folders, all inclusive kits and more! There are themes for summer like ocean fish, pineapples and flamingos, travel, outdoors and animals like foxes, deer, birds, dogs and cats, lots of floral and gardening, several masculine sets, fruits and beverages, feathers, alphabets, sentiments and much more. Styles range from sweet to sassy to elegant to realistic and whimsical. You’ll also find page after page of amazing card, scrapbook page and home decor, gift wrapping projects and inspirations.

For my card shown above I used the small jar and inside it stamped the water and fish stamps from the Jar of Love stamp set,  adding a “bubble” using a Pearl Basic Jewel. It’s behind a layer of acetate and carstock cut with the matching Everyday Jars Framelits Dies. The words are from the same set. I also used the burlap stamp to make my own textured “ribbon” by stamping it on a strip of cardstock. The pattern paper is from the Blooms and Bliss Designer series paper.

For my next card is used one of the plants from the Live, Love Grow stamp set to make some sea kelp for the turtle from the From Land to Sea stamp set to swim in. I colored him with ink pads and an Aqua Painters Brush on water color paper.

Lastly I used the cute ladybugs from the Love You Lots set, putting them under an umbrella from the Weather Together set. The words and flowers are from that same set. The pattern paper is from the 2015-2016 In Color Designer Series paper. I like folding over double sided papers to show both sides. A note about the Love you Lots set, this set is only available for those who host a Stampin’ Up party and earn rewards. So if you’re in love with this set gather some friends together and call your local Stampin’ Up demonstrator.

I hope you’ve enjoyed these looks at some of the new items available in the new Stampin’ Up catalog. If you’re interesting in looking at the new catalog or placing an order you can do so at Stampin’ Up online or contact your local demonstrator.
