Product Review: Stampin’ Up Occasions Catalog Part 3

February 7, 2018 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog Part 3

Each year Stampin’ Up adds loads of wonderful new products in the Occasions catalog as a supplement to their annual catalog. This years Occasions is filled with new stamps, dies, paper and embellishments for many different holidays and celebrations. Inside you’ll find bright and bold products for birthdays, an amazing roller coaster pop up die, cake designs for birthdays and weddings, several different style of hearts for Valentine’s Day and anniversaries, lots of great outdoor designs like picnics, rainbows, trees, birds and cute critters, there are also products for Easter, an awesome sliding barn door stamp and die set, masculine styles for Father’s Day and pretty florals for Mom and so much more.

I’m here with one last look and more card inspiration, if you missed my first post please click here to check it out.  And my second post can be found here.

For my first card (shown up top) I used one of the pretty stamps from the Flying Home set, this set is perfect if you love to color! I colored the birds nest and birds with Stampin’ Blends markers. The words are from the In the Trees set. The background is ink blending with a sponge tool and few scattered sequins. It’s a great card for a new baby.

I’ve filmed a video tutorial for this card, you can watch it over on my Youtube channel.

Next I used the knight and dragon from the Magical Day stamp set, cutting them out with the coordinating Magical Mates Framelits dies. I colored them with Stampin’ Blends Markers and also added some touches of glitter with Iridescent Glimmer Paper. I found I could stamp on it with Staz-On ink as well as color it with the Stampin’ Blends markers too, how cool is that?! The background pattern paper is from the Myths and Magic Designer Series Papers.

Lastly I made this fun banner birthday card using stamps from In the Trees, adding a couple of birds from the Flying Home set and some bakers twine too. This stamp set has so many possibilities for making cute scenes! The cloud paper is also from Myths and Magic.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed all my cards using some of the new items available in the new Stampin’ Up Occasions catalog, all the products can be viewed by clicking here. And are available from now through May 31st 2018.
