Product Review: Stampin’ Up Occasions Catalog Part 2

January 17, 2018 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog Part 2

Each year Stampin’ Up adds loads of wonderful new products in the Occasions catalog as a supplement to their annual catalog. This years Occasions is filled with new stamps, dies, paper and embellishments for many different holidays and celebrations. Inside you’ll find bright and bold products for birthdays, an amazing roller coaster pop up die, cake designs for birthdays and weddings, several different style of hearts for Valentine’s Day and anniversaries, lots of great outdoor designs like picnics, rainbows, trees, birds and cute critters, there are also products for Easter, an awesome sliding barn door stamp and die set, masculine styles for Father’s Day and pretty florals for Mom and so much more!

Today I’m back with some more card inspiration, if you missed my first post please click here to check it out.

For my first card I used my favorite new stamp set, Magical Day. I stamped the unicorn three times on water color paper and used the Stampin’ Up Water Color Pencils to color them. I put them on cloud paper from the Myths and Magic Specialty Papers, adding the stamped sentiment, all items were die cut with the coordinating Magical Mates Framelits dies.

This next stamp set is In the Trees and it has a pretty tree, several banners, light string, hammock, grass, clouds, flowers and a squirrel to make some fun backyard scenes. The set is clear so it’s super easy to line everything up. I colored my scene with Stampin’ Blends Markers. The tree pattern paper is from the Myths and Magic paper pack.

For this last card is used the two adorable hedgehog stamps from the Hedgehugs set. The background is the Woodland Texture Embossing Folder (from the annual catalog) colored with brown chalk. The words are stamped on a circle cut from the Stitched Shapes dies. This set is perfect for Valentine’s Day or Anniversary cards.

I hope you’ve enjoyed another peek at some of the new items available in the new Stampin’ Up Occasions catalog, all the products can be viewed by clicking here. They are available from now through May 31st 2018. Check back soon for more ideas from me using these great new items!
