Product Review: Stampin’ Up New Ink Pad Design

August 2, 2018 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: Stampin' Up New Ink Pad Design

In their most recent catalog Stampin’ Up introduced a brand new design for their Classic Stampin’ Pad ink pads. This new style is slimmer and easier to stack and store. The tops have a color label and on the back is an extra label for the side to make it easy to find a color when they are stacked. With small bumps and grooves on the outside corners these pads will easily stack one on top of another and the thinner size means they take up less room when stored. Pads measure 4 3/16″ x 3 9/16″ x 1/2″. The pads have a flip top so the firm foam pad is stored upside down to insure your pads stay juicy. The ink is a quick drying dye based ink which is also acid free. One thing to note, that the flip top lids might feel a little tight when opening and sliding when you first use them but they loosen up after a few uses.

Stampin’ Up offers four color assortments in Neutrals, Brights, Subtle and Regals with 10 colors of ink pads in each assortment as well as 10 trendy new In Colors, 5 new this year and 5 from last year. And with the new ink pad design Stampin’ Up added 16 new lovely colors to their lines. Color Assortments come in ink pads, markers, ink refills and cardstock (along with some embellishments, pattern papers and ribbons too) all in the same colors. Making it easy to coordinate your projects knowing your stamped images, colored with markers will match the pattern paper, ribbon and cardstock you choose.

In this recent video I’ll show you the new Classic Stampin’ Pad features, a few of the new colors and a bonus card tutorial with an ink pad background technique. Click here to watch on Youtube or view it down below.
