Product Review: COLOP Stamps and Ink Pads

May 27, 2025 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: COLOP Stamps and Ink PadsHi everyone, I am excited to bring you a product review for COLOP who make a wide range of stamps and inks for home, school, office and crafting. You’ll find clothing stamps, perfect for marking your child’s name in their clothes; small journaling stamps that are great for planners and notebooks; wood mounted rubber stamps for card making and scrapbooking; hand stamps, fun for parties and events; date stamps for the office along with ink pads, re-inkers and so much more!

Today I’m sharing some cards I created using some of their crafting stamps and ink pads. With Wedding season quickly approaching I thought it would be a terrific time to design some cards for Weddings and Anniversaries. For my projects I used the beautiful Valentine’s Day Blissful Prints Collector Set of stamps that contains 9 different wood mounted rubber stamps and comes in a nice wooden case with clear window to help display and organize the stamps. I also used some individual stamps from May and Berry and several Make 3 pigment based ink pads. For my first card, shown above, I heat embossed the pretty love heart stamp using the Fancy Grey ink pad and clear embossing powder onto Bristol cardstock. Then I used a blender brush and ink blended Brave Red, Cozy Red and Frozen White inks in an ombre’ over top. I die cut out the heart and adhered it to pattern paper, adding an ink blended scalloped border. Their pigment ink pads heat emboss so nicely!

For this second card I used stamps from the May and Berry line, stamping a lovely flower stamp to create a background pattern using the Golden Joy ink pad, then ran it through an embossing folder. I inked two wooden tags with Cozy Red then stamped a stem of leaves with more Golden Joy. I stamped the same flowers onto white cardstock, coloring with colored pencil, fussy cut it out and placed it on a die cut and embossed doily. I love this pink and gold color combo for Weddings!

Next I wanted to create a more masculine card design to make for your hubby for an anniversary. I stamped the heart eyes and words in Brave Red on a tan cardstock, adding some glitter glue and cut it out with a shield shaped die then adhered some burlap paper and a metal charm. The “Match made in heaven” sentiment is so cute!

This beautiful bouquet stamp creates a wonderful design for a bride to be. I stamped the hand holding flowers and the XOXO sentiment with Golden Joy ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder, coloring them in with alcohol markers. This stamp is so versatile and could be used for Mother’s Day or Birthday cards as well.

And for my last design I used the Frozen White ink and the dove stamp on dark teal cardstock, adding lines of additional color with colored pencils and used Silent Sea ink to stamp the sentiment. I added a scalloped edge around the bird and tied the card with navy grosgrain ribbon. This peaceful dove would also be beautiful for Christmas cards too.
