How to add Detailed Stitching to Your Handmade Cards

How to add Detailed Stitching to Your Handmade Cards

I love mixing media, using one type of craft, product or technique with another type of craft, it gives you endless possibilities to take your crafting even further. For me this is especially true with card making, there are so many other crafts you can include on a card like sewing, quilting, painting, collage, etc. Stitching has been very popular to include on paper crafts for a long time now but I know if you don’t sew it can seem intimidating but there’s products on the market that make it easy to get started like dies that punch the stitching holes for you.  You can create designs that are simple or very detailed and intricate depending on your skill level and the time you’d like to spend.

Jennifer is sharing a video tutorial on how to use dies from Altenew with colors of embroidery floss to create stunning stitched card designs that aren’t just a bit of sewing around the edges, they are the star of the show! She’s got tips for threading the needle, how to create intricate patterns and how to adhere the sewn panels to your cards. If you’re new or have experience sewing on your cards I’m sure you’ll still learn something helpful and find some handy hints.
