FREE Printable 4×6 Card Backgrounds – Lavender Rose Collection

April 27, 2026 by Shellie Wilson

There’s something about soft lavender florals that just feels like a deep breath for the creative brain. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably stood at your craft desk—Distress Ink still open, acrylic stamps sticky from enthusiasm—and wished you had the perfect background paper to pull a card idea together. And sometimes, you just want something pretty without digging through an entire paper stash.

This Lavender Rose Collection was born out of that very moment.
Five peaceful, watercolor-style backgrounds you can print anytime, trim in a snap, and build into everything from sympathy cards and wedding notes to gentle birthday greetings. It’s an evergreen floral set you’ll reach for again and again.

And yes—every single sheet is designed at 4×6 inches, 300 DPI, and laid out on A4 paper for easy home printing. No fussing with margins. No sneaky resizing. Just download, print, snip, and play.

What’s Inside the Lavender Rose Printable Set

This dreamy little collection includes five unique printable backgrounds, all designed to coordinate beautifully while still giving you a nice mix of scales and styles.

1. Lavender Micro-Florals (Tiny Repeat)

A soft, ditsy-style repeat perfect for subtle layering, matting, and backgrounds where you don’t want the pattern to overpower your focal point.

2. Lavender Polka Dots

A tiny, delicate dot pattern in a gentle lavender tone—ideal for modern cards, baby cards, or layering behind sentiments.

3. Lavender Gingham

A charming classic. This one gives your handmade cards that cozy farmhouse feel without being too bold.

4. Watercolor Lavender Rose Clusters (Medium Scale)

A romantic repeat of painted roses—just detailed enough to feel special but subtle enough to sit behind any card design.

5. Watercolor Rose Bouquets (Larger Feature Wallpaper)

For those cards where you want the background itself to be the star. Soft, airy, and beautifully printable.

All five printables sit inside a dotted 4×6 trim guide on a clean white A4 sheet—your scissors will thank you.

Why These Printables Work So Well for Cardmaking

If you’ve been cardmaking for a while, you’ll know that paper scale matters.
Too busy, and your focal point disappears. Too plain, and the card feels unfinished.

This Lavender Rose set gives you:

  • Small-scale patterns for layering
    • Medium patterns for gentle patterned backgrounds
    • One bold floral for standout cards
    • A mix of modern and classic designs
    • Soft, printable inks that won’t eat your printer dry

It’s the kind of collection that quietly becomes a favourite.
(And yes, I’ve already used the gingham sheet twice.)

How to Use These Backgrounds

A few ideas to get the creativity humming:

  • Use the tiny florals behind a stamped sentiment
    • Layer the gingham with kraft cardstock for a rustic look
    • Cut the large roses into panels for clean-and-simple cards
    • Punch circles or tags to match other projects
    • Use leftover scraps in your junk journal spreads

Once you’ve printed them once, you’ll start seeing ideas everywhere.
That’s the joy of a really good background paper.

Printing Tips (So They Look Their Best)

  • Print at 100% scale (no “fit to page”)
    • Use matte photo paper or bright white cardstock
    • Let ink dry before layering or die-cutting
    • Store printed sheets flat to avoid curling

And remember—you can print them as many times as you like.
That’s the beauty of digital cardstock.

I feel like I must be dense – I cannot figure out how to download the lovely lavender rose printable set. Is there a trick to it?

Ingrid- Scroll to the bottom where the single printables are, right click and save to your computer, when you print it will be the correct size and you’ll need to trim off the edges. Hope that helps.
