I love seeing unconventional materials used in paper crafting. The very talented Dina Kowal has used an unusual product to add some amazing elements to her cards, it’s dry wall tape! This fiberglass mesh tape comes in different widths, can be found at the hardware store and has small square holes making it ideal for things like stenciling. Dina used this tape as a stencil with ink blending and watercolor, she also inked it to “stamp” out an impression and used the square holes as a template to draw faux cross stiches, so clever! She’s sharing step by step and a video tutorial for all these dry wall tape techniques on 4 different cards over on Splitcoast Stampers.
