Mindy’s amazing Jack O’ Lantern card is interactive, when you pull the tab at bottom of the pumpkin, under the stamped sentiment his mouth opens to reveal another sentiment inside. As a kid I loved carving pumpkins for Halloween and still do as an adult. Using those intricate stencils for carving is fun but honestly I love a good old fashioned traditional Jack O’ Lantern face. I also love keeping the scooped out seeds and roasting them and of course I adore all things pumpkin (spice) flavored. I mean, what’s not to love about pumpkins? And one other thing I love to do is use pumpkins and Jack O’ Lanterns on my handmade cards for Autumn and Halloween. Today let’s check out all the new paper crafting inspiration using pumpkin stamps, stencils and dies for some fang-tastic Halloween card designs.
Carly’s card is clean and simple so you could make a bunch to pass out at Trick or Treat. Her stamped pumpkin treat bucket was colored with OLO alcohol markers, there’s a few candy’s falling into the bucket, a sentiment stamped below and a few ink splatters. This colorful card has stenciled Jacks, ghosts and bats on a purple inked background for a bold Halloween design. There’s a sentiment stamped in the center and some die cut bats popped up for dimension too. Check out this card and several other made with these stencils at the Spelllbinders blog.
How adorable are these pumpkin shaped duo of cards from Francesca!? She turned them into little houses for some spellbinding cats that were stamped and colored with Copic markers, as well as detailing the houses with markers and adding some glitter too. Learn more at the Lawn Fawn blog.
Bobbi’s amazing cabinet of curiosities card is filled with all things spooky like potions, specimens, spell books, spider webs and a banner, They’re all stamped and placed on a hand drawn woodgrain floor with houndstooth pressed wall paper. Silvia has a tasty treat card with fro-yo filling a pumpkin bucket. There’s a masked and stenciled moon on the background, she used stenciling, die cutting and ink blended for the treat bucket. There’s also die cut candy, glittery gold star confetti, lots of splatters and a vellum and glitter paper die cut sentiment too. She breaks it all down at the Trinity Stamps blog.
Caitlin’s darling card has a candy corn pattern paper background with a scalloped oval in the center with a sweet Halloween scene. There’s a stamped black kitty sitting inside a a Jack O’ Lantern with more on either side, some candy and a moon with a flying bat. I love how she die cut out the images and placed them on black cardstock, it makes for a quick and spooky background. I spotted her idea on the Pink and Main Instagram page.
This cool card was made almost entirely from pattern papers. The pumpkins face was die cut with a faux stitched edges circle die, the leaves were fussy cut out and the stripped background is also pattern paper. For a cute Halloween card try using pastels, it’s very trendy right now! Natasha’s card uses dies with some inking for shading to created a wonderful Jack O’ Lantern car for a ghostie. The card base is a dry embossed cardstock and there’s also a die cut sentiment and some gems too. I love the skull headlights! Find instructions at the Cardstock Warehouse blog.
This dapper Pumpkin Head is all dressed up for the Halloween ball. Cassie created a fun background with stamped words on blue cardstock, adding golden diamond stenciling and white splatter over top. Wow, check out Claire’s “impossible” easel card! There’s a unique shaped base decorated with spooky pattern papers and sentiments and the pop up in the center is full of creepy layered pre-printed ephemera. This amazing card will certainly put a spell on the recipient! I came across her idea on her Happy Ginger Claire Instagram page.
And last but certainly not least is this stunning card from Amy R. She stamped a large pumpkin and gourd stamp onto Kraft cardstock in grey ink and colored them all in with OLO markers. She next re-stamped with her stamp positioner and heat embossed in copper and then splattered the panel. In the center is an inked die cut and heat embossed mixed sentiment.
