Emily’s heartfelt card for Mom has a pretty monochromatic purple color scheme. She used a dry embossing folder for the wreath and colored it with colored pencils and silver paint and then fussy cut it out, putting a silver heat embossed sentiment on top. If your Mom loves to cook or bake you need to check out Melissa’s delicious card. She created a kitchen scene card with a stencil floral “wallpaper, die cut wooden counter top and lots of stamped and die cut food and kitchen appliances. Some large flowers and a heartfelt sentiment finish off the design perfectly. She shares step by step directions at the Papertrey Ink blog.
Nina’s pretty bows card has so much feminine detail. There’s a soft green floral pattern paper card base, a layer of die cut cream cardstock with very detailed lacey edges, a layer of metallic gold paper and a dry embossed cream panel with stamped and brightly colored bows. I love the Tiffany blue and silver on Jody’s pretty perfume bottle card! The base has a stenciled pattern with a layer of vellum stitched over top. There’s a die cut oval with inked edges and the bottle that’s been stamped and colored with layering stencil in teal inks, a detailed sentiment and glittery gems have been added too. Carol’s design is full of heart with a lovely sentiment, florals and doilies. She die cut the vines with heart buds and then used Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend the color, placing them on a white card base. The heart is made from layers of die cut lacy heart shapes with the top layer also ink blended and the stamped sentiment to finish it off. She breaks it down at the Honeybee Stamps blog.
This card is so fresh and clean with a lovely cream and teal die cut tote bag brimming with daisies and a puny sentiment, this card is perfect for the Mother who loves purses and bags. Dana’s wonderful design has a unique twist. She’s die cut flowers from different colors of cardstock, created a bouquet and placed it on the white card base front and then cut out around one side for a special front flap. Let Mom know that she is truly the best with a card like Cathy’s. She stenciled her floral background in shades of pink and oranges (don’t you love that color combo?), layered it with gold paper and added a heat embossed gold sentiment over top for a touch of elegance. Lea’s lovely card is blooming with amazing pink flowers on a teal backdrop. For the flowers she stamped and then inked with a coordinating stencil and has a terrific tip, if your stamping ink gets dulled by ink blending or coloring try using a stamping platform to stamp the outline again after inking. And lastly is this darling design by Aiysha that’s pretty in pink with an inked ombre’ background and a large stamped flower bouquet with a cute bunny popping up.
