Winter is winding down and all the paper crafting companies are beginning to release there Spring collections with wonderful new stamps, dies, stencils, pattern papers and more. I’m seeing lots of lovely cards with beautiful floral designs popping up everywhere. Flowers are so versatile and can be used for just about any occasion you might have need of to create a handmade card. So let’s jump right in and take a look at some wonderful Spring Floral card ideas!

This floral card has wonderful textures and patterns from die cut and dry embossed panels, die cut leaves, stamped flowers, glitter, paint splatter and gems. Take a closer look at the Papertrey Ink blog.
Notice how the beautiful stamped rose wreath hangs over the layered paper corner on this pretty card, that adds so much extra interest to the design! There’s also nice metallic silver shimmer from the patterned background and cardstock. I spotted this on the pennyblackstamps Instagram page.
This dark and dramatic card has flowers heat embossed in gold on black cardstock and colored with polychromos pencils. Stitching, splatters and gems add great texture to the design too. Find out more over on the That’s Life blog.
One of my favorite coloring mediums is alcohol markers, you can add lots of shading, shadowing, blending and a realistic look to flowers with these types of markers. These stunning floral cards were colored by Nathalie using alcohol markers from Altenew.

Amy used new products from Waffle Flower to create this cheery clover card. It’s got a subtle glitter stenciled background, die cut and colored vase, flowers and leaves, and the sentiment is a combination of heat embossing and die cutting. You can watch her video tutorial on the Amy Rysavy blog.
Carol created a custom background with a stencil, ink spray and texture paste for this romantic Anniversary card. The beautiful roses and arch are stamped and heat embossed in gold and then colored with watercolors. The arch is also backed with vellum and there’s a sweet embossed sentiment too. Even something as simple as creating a square card can add interest to a design. This pretty square card has letter pressed flowers colored with inks using a coordinating stencils. Wow, check out these 2 stunning cards from Jen! She created a two-fer by stamping and coloring a large sunflower stamp, then die cutting a large sentiment, using the positive and negative sections to create two cards. Learn more on the Picket Fence blog.
