Kelly’s amazing card has gold accents like foiled edges, gold foiled clock and gold heat embossed sentiment which pairs perfectly with the rest of the green monochromatic color scheme on this sweet design. Wow, these wonderful Easter Rabbit easel cards take my breath away! They all use the same dies, that also add nice embossing, but as you can tell changing up the cardstock, embellishments, metallic or pattern papers give each one a unique look. Visit the Anna Griffin blog for a closer peek.
On Mellisa’s egg-cellent card there’s layers of faux stitched edge plaid paper with a layer of stenciled raindrop cardstock and the pretty egg in the center. Behind the die cut openings of the egg is a pastel ink blended panel that shows through. Then there’s the die cut and inked flowers with shimmery glitter and inked die cut sentiment with vellum layer along with some tied lace. Find all the info on the Pretty Pink Posh blog.
Nina took a pre printed background panel and took it to another level by adding stamped and die cut elements. The bow and flowers were stamped, colored and popped up as well as the heat embossed words on black. She also cut out a window for the main die cut gold sentiment to sit in as well as added stenciling, sequins and splatter to the panel too. Find more details at the Nina Marie Designs blog.
Kendra’s elegant design is interactive with a gatefold pop up covered in beautiful Spring flowers and eggs pattern paper on each panel. In the center is a stamped sentiment, stamped and die cut pink egg and dainty die cut flower. I spotted her idea on the Divinity Designs Instagram page.
Joy’s pretty card has a trendy faux postage design in soft pastel colors. She’s combined dry embossing with inking for the base, stenciling and die cutting for the layers and a stamped sentiment with die cutting flowers blooming from it. Watch her video tutorial on the Taylored Expressions blog.
Karola’s stunning cards are shaped like eggs and decorated with lovely layers of pattern paper, printed images like eggs, chicks, ducklings and bunnies. all layered up along with 3D flowers and tied with beautiful ribbons and lace. I came across her card on the Mintay Papers Instagram page.
I just love this gold and rose gold color combination! The egg was foiled and letter pressed and placed over a background die that cuts out the flowers. It’s been cut three times, from white, pink and orange, then puzzle pieced with the colors placed back in to the white base. Take a closer peek at the Hero Arts blog.
Tina’s wonderful card features a very dapper stamped Rabbit with lots of pretty mixed media elements. She used Distress Ink pads from Ranger for stenciling two layers (adding glitter to one) as well as for water coloring the bunny. There’s also stamped words and sentiment, ink spray, tied ribbon with metallic charm and pearls for embellishment. Watch her video tutorial at the Cards and Coffee Time blog.
Snow globes aren’t just for Winter designs, here Shari used it for a wonderful Easter design. She added pink inking for the globe base and a dry embossed floral background behind the sweet die cut rabbit and big beautiful bouquet of die cut flowers. I spotted her idea at the Simon Says Stamp Instagram page.
And last but certainly not least is this beauty from Susan. She masked off a section for blue inking to create a subtle background to go behind her stamped and water colored rabbit and buttercups, notice how the stamping goes outside of the “lines” of her background for added interest. I came across her stunning design on the Gina K. Designs Instagram page.
I hope you’ve been inspired to create some elegant and refined cards for Spring and Easter this year!
