At the beginning of each year Stampin’ Up releases their Occasions catalog which adds new items for upcoming holidays and celebrations in addition to their annual catalog for a limited time. This year the Occasions catalog runs from January 4th through May 31st 2017. It’s filled with loads of wonderful new products like wooden and clear stamp sets, thin metal dies, embossing folders, pattern paper packs, embellishments and more. There’s cute bunnies, chicks and baskets for Easter; hearts and funny monsters for Valentine’s Day; sweet animals for baby; tool sets, flowers and super heroes for Dads and Moms; insects and ice cream for summer time; dainty florals for weddings; cupcakes and carnival for birthdays; sentiment and travel stamps and much more! You’ll also find new water color pencils and accents like washi tapes, ribbons, doilies, charms and more.
I’m happy to be back with one last look at some of the new products, click here if you missed part one and here if you missed part two.
For my card shown above I made a sweet little birthday puppy card, perfect for a little boy. I used stamps from the Little Cuties set, colored with the new Water Color Pencils and die cut from the Stitched Framelits dies. The pattern paper is from the Tasty Treats Designer Papers.
Next I made a fun Easter card using stamps from the Basket Bunch. This set has so many great stamps to make some really fun spring and Easter scenes.
For my next card I used a bunch of insects from the Beetles and Bugs stamp set. This set has outlines and solid coordinating stamps to layer up some cute crawlies, perfect for masculine cards (or for girl who love bugs too :)). I stamped and embossed my bugs on vellum and added a “glow” to the lighting bug with a fun message from the Jar of Love set (from the regular catalog).
Lastly I made a cool card using some of the Popsicle’s and word stamps from Cool Treats stamp set. The pattern papers are from the Tasty Treats paper set and the all over treat paper comes with a neat glossy shine added to the designs.
I hope you’ve enjoyed another look at the new Occasions products. Click here to check out all the new Occasions products from Stampin’ Up.
