Silhouette now has chipboard! Yes, you read that right, Silhouette has chipboard that you can die cut in their machines, how awesome is that?
For my projects I decided to make some fun little jewelry pins. I die cut the chipboard and my pattern papers the same shapes and sizes and adhered them together with a glue stick, adding ink to the edges with a sponge. I layered two layers of chipboard for the bases so just they’d be a little thicker, the chipboard gives the perfect thickness, weight and stability to the pins. I was amazed at how well the chipboard cut, you need to set your machine to the chipboard setting and your blade to 5. I also did a double cut just to make sure. And you use your regular blade, no need for a special one.
I had so much fun playing with the chipboard and there’s a lot you can do with it from banners, boxes, 3D art, picture frames and so much more. My head is spinning with all the ways I can use this stuff.
