Have you ever had a new clear stamp that just didn’t quite stamp out correctly? It looks grainy when stamped or the ink beads up on the surface and you just don’t get a clear image? Sometimes clear stamps need to be “conditioned”. I usually use a white chalk eraser but sometimes that’s not enough and you need to get tougher with it, especially stamps made from silicone. Here’s where this helpful tip from Designing Duos comes in, try sand paper, yup, sand paper! Make sure it’s a fine grit, I’ve tried sanding blocks myself with a light touch and they work quite well! You can prime your polymer stamps by putting some archival ink on them and letting them dry. This will make for a better stamped image when you use regular dye ink.
