The brand new Occasions 2018 Catalog from Stampin’ Up is full of wonderful additions to the annual catalog. You’ll find themes like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s and Father’s Day, Easter, Spring and birthday. With clear and cling mounted stamp sets with matching and stand alone dies, new pattern paper collections, kits, ribbons, punches, embossing folders and embellishments. There are designs like hearts, pets, florals, cakes, treats, butterflies, outdoors, baby and lots more.
One great new change for Stamin’ Up is the newly designed labels for their Cling Stamps. The stamps are the same great quality rubber with a foam cushion but the clear labels have a much better cling to them so they hang on to clear blocks perfectly. One tip when you get your new stamps, be sure to very carefully line up and apply the labels to the foam, the adhesive is very strong and they can’t be repositioned. Also be sure to very carefully remove stamps from blocks after stamping and cleaning.
For my first card shown above I used the Meant to Be stamps, heat embossing one of the floral hearts with white embossing powder and color it with colored pencils. I die cut it and the heart behind and the scalloped layer with dies from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits dies. The words were embossed on a rectangle die cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits dies. The floral pattern paper is from the All My Love Designer series paper pack. The ribbon is one of two from the All My Love Ribbon Combo pack.
For my next card is used the Gorilla and words from the totally adorable Hey Love stamp set. I also used the Be Mine Stitched Framelits dies too, I love this dies set! The paper paper is from the Tropical Escape papers from the annual catalog and the ribbon is the 2nd design from the All My Love Ribbon Combo. I filmed a video tutorial showing how to make it. Lastly I used the cute Nine Lives stamp set to make a sweet calico kitty cat Valentine card. I love the layering stamps in this set, you can make a solid, tabby or calico cat! Best of all it coordinates with the Cat Punch from the annual catalog. I used bakers twine for the wrapped yarn and the paper is from the All My Love paper pack.
