Review: Stampin’ Up Thoughtful Branches August Stamp and Die Special Release

August 2, 2016 by Heather Holbrook

Review: Stampin' Up Thoughtful Branches August Stamp and Die Special Release

For the month of August Stampin’ Up has an exclusive stamp set with coordinating dies called Thoughtful Branches and it’s available only from August 2nd through the 31st.

Review: Stampin' Up Thoughtful Branches August Stamp and Die Special Release

I’m really excited to bring you a look at this special release which is perfect for fall and winter cards, scrapbook pages or any paper crafting projects. The clear photopolymer stamp set of 23 includes several different types of trees with separate trunks so you can stamp them in different colors, grass, hills, birds, apples and lots of sentiments. The Thinlits die set has 9 metal dies that work with many of the stamps in the set or alone.

For my first project (shown at the top) I stamped all the images onto craft paper with Whisper White ink and then stamped over top that with colored ink. I die cut the leaves and apples using the dies and popped them up with foam squares for added dimension.

Next I stamped the evergreen tree and placed it behind a window cut with the Hearth and Home dies (found in the regular catalog), adding the birds from the stamp set, also die cutting them. I don’t know if it shows in the photo but I added some clear Wink of Stella to the branches for some frost.

Lastly I used one of the stamp sets sentiments adding some stamped and die cut leaves for a pretty little fall Thank You card.

I hope you’ve enjoyed a peek at this new Stampin’ Up product bundle. You can order the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and dies individually or in a bundle (buy the bundle and save 10%!) from your demonstrator or directly on line from Stampin’ Up here.
