I’m excited today to share you with some brand new products from Lifestyle Crafts, the Detailz Dies and Shape N’ Tape.
These lovely dies will die cut out the shape and then also emboss the image giving them some wonderful dimension. These are thin metal dies so they are perfect for using with the Genius Magnetic Platform system (read my recent review here) and work in all major manual die cutting machines and of course with your regular plates too. You place the die on the bottom plate face up, place the paper on top and run it through the machine to die cut first. Then keeping the die cut shape inside the die place the Genius Rubber Mat on top and run it through again, this will then add the embossing. I was really amazed at how much detail these dies have, I hope you can see it in the photos.
Paper tape, also sometimes called washi tape, is all the rage right now and Lifestyle Crafts has taken it a step further by making sheets! The Tape N’ Shape sheets are adhesive 6″ x 12″ sheets and come in color packs, each with a solid and patterns. So now you can die cut, cut with your scissors, tear and layer it for loads of different options.
For my first card, shown above I use two of the Doilies Detailz Dies, this set comes with three different dollies and also a strip of the yellow stripped Shape N’ Tape, which cut easily with my paper trimmer.
For my other card I use the third doily die and also the bird and cage from the Songbird Detailz Die set. I also die cut a piece of the Shape N’ Tape for my background, it die cut beautifully.
