Product Review: Stampin’ Up Occasions and Sale-A-Bration

January 28, 2015 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: Stampin' Up Occasions and Sale-A-Bration

I’m so excited to share with you another review for Stampin’ Up! Right now Stampin’ Up has two fabulous catalogs, the first is their Occasions catalog and is a supplement to the regular yearly catalog adding wonderful products for Valentine’s Day, Spring, Easter, weddings, baby, birthdays and more. There are new clear, cling and wood mounted stamps, pattern papers, die cuts and embellishments. The Occasions catalog runs from January 6th though June 2nd 2015. The second catalog is the Sale-A-Bration catalog, for every $50 you spend with Stampin’ up you can choose items from the Sale-A-Bration catalog for free! These products can not be purchased and can only be obtained by earning them during Sale-A-Bration from January 6th though March 31st 2015. Click on the highlighted links above to see everything available in these great new catalogs.

For my first card (shown above) I used one of the adorable stamps from the Hey Valentine set, available in the Occasions catalog, this fox is so sweet! I stamped him with black Memento ink and colored him with Blendabilities markers. The pattern paper is from the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper pack, found in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. This stamp set is perfect for making Valentine’s for your childs classmates.

Next I made a card with the For Peeps Sake stamp set, from the Occasions catalog, I love the funny little chicks! The grass though is from the Sheltering Tree set. I stamped the chicks and eggs in yellow and colored them with Blendabilities markers. The layers of pattern papers are from the Best Year Ever paper pack.

For my last card I used the Sheltering Tree clear stamp set. This set is so versatile, it comes with a plain tree trunk, which would be great in it’s own for spooky Halloween cards and a separate stamp for the leaves which can be colored differently for winter, summer, fall or spring. I applied different colors of markers directly on the stamp, huffed on it and then stamped, for a multi-colored spring look. There are also many accessories to add like a swing, bike, rake, snow, leaf pile and several phrases too. I added some paper from the Best Year Ever for my hill and on the base of my card too.

Visit Stampin’ Up on line to place an order or place one with your local demonstrator, click here if you don’t already have one.
