Product Review: Shine On Paper from Stampin’ Up

March 29, 2016 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: Shine On Paper from Stampin' Up

Foiling and metallic designs on paper is super hot right now so the Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up is right on trend! The paper set includes 12 sheets of 12″x 12″ paper with 2 each of 6 double sided designs. The base color is kraft with silver metallic foil designs one side and bold bright colorful designs on the other. Designs include clouds, rain drops, diamonds, leaves, diagonal pinstripes, polka dot and more.

I’ve made a few cards using this awesome new paper. The first card was made with the metallic diamond pattern from the Shine On papers layered on a grey card base with an overlay of Botanical Gardens Vellum, die cut with Sunburst Thinlits die. In the center I stamped the diamond and words from the coordinating Shine On Stamp Set.

For my next card I used the Shine on cloud paper along with pattern papers from Have a Cuppa paper stack. The balloon stamps are from the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set and the words are from the Shine On stamp set. The ribbon is Bermuda Bay 1/8″. I paper pieced the pattern paper over the balloons.

For this card I used both the clouds and rain drops from the Shine On paper with a diagonal strip of plain silver metallic paper and the Miss You words from the Shine On stamps, heat embossed in silver on a die cut from the Circle Card Thinlit dies. I hope you can tell in the photos how shiny and metallic the papers are.

Lastly, I used the Circle Card Thinlet Die for the base and scallop circle adding some of the leaf print from the Shine On papers. The flower and words stamps are from the Grateful Bunch stamp set, the smaller flowers were punched out with the Blossom Bunch punch.

I hope you’ve enjoyed taking a look at my projects made with the cool Shine On Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up. Click here for links to the Shine On products, available only until May 31st 2016! You can order on line or contact your local Stampin’ Up  demonstrator.
