Product Review: Chalk Inks from Stampin’ Up

April 2, 2015 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: Chalk Inks from Stampin' Up

The chalk ink pads made by Color Box and carried by Stampin’ Up are the perfect way to get that popular chalk board look. They pair wonderfully with Stampin’ Up’s Chalk Board paper for making greeting cards, scrapbook pages and accents on home decor projects. The chalk ink pads come in 3 colors, Aquamarine Blue, Rose Coral Pink and Yellow Citrus. These inks are permanent and give that soft realistic chalk look. They can also be used on regular cardstock for a pretty bold color.

I made 2 projects using these ink pads, the first (shown above) is a sweet Easter card using the Coral ink pad on the chalkboard cardstock layered on pattern paper from the All Bloom Designer Series paper using stamps from the For Peeps’ Sake set, accented with washi tape from Everyday Day Adventure.

Next I made an all over background pattern using the Coral and Aquamarine ink pads on the chalkboard paper with a large flower stamp from the Peaceful Petals set. The words will how you how the ink looks on white cardstock. It’s layered on a piece of pattern paper from the All Blooms and tied with Bermuda Bay bakers twine.
