The brand new A Muse Studio Holiday Catalog is full of wonderful new cling rubber stamps, coordinating dies, papers and embellishments. You’ll find wonderful fall stamps like woodland critters, leaves, arrows and feathers (just right for table décor and fall birthdays); fun Halloween themes like skeletons, potions, spiders and skulls (wonderful for party invites, treat bags and candy tags) and great Christmas and Winter sets with Santa, ornaments, deer, woods, sentiments, snowflakes and snowmen (for package tags and holiday greeting cards). There are also 6″x6″ pattern paper packs, felt in holiday colors (great for die cutting), red and white polka dot paper straws (perfect for parties) and metallic star papers.
For this review I worked with the some of the new Halloween themed stamp sets and papers. For my first project (shown above) I made a fun set of matching Halloween tags using the adorable Ghostly Greetings stamp set and matching dies. If you aren’t fond of cutting of your stamped images then these die sets are perfect for you! I punched scalloped circles from different colors of Petite Polka dot cardstocks (available in the regular A Muse catalog) and added my stamped images that had been colored and then die cut using the matching die set, adding a different stamped greeting from the set to each tag. I added a loop of colorful ribbon to the backs and now they are ready to be put on treat bags, used for book marks or to hang on a small Halloween tree.
Next I used one of the skulls from the Sugar Skulls set, this set is not only good for Halloween but perfect for Day of the Dead celebrations too. I stamped, colored and die cut it (using the matching skull die) and added it too the front of an ATC (Artist Trading Card). I punched small flowers out of cardstock and crumped and then sanded them, since A Muse cardstock has a white back and white core it’s terrific for sanding so a little of the white shows through. I put rhinestones in the center of each flower and adhered them around the top of the skull.
Lastly I made a wonderfully creepy card using the Peculiar Potions stamp set. I layered a sheet of pattern paper from the Mysterious Manor papers on my card base and stamped the splatter stamp in red all over and then stamped the text on a die cut label and then adhered the cauldron and bottle that had been die cut with the coordinating dies. These stamps would also be nice on hand made food labels or for fun party food signs.
