Product Review: A Muse Studio Holiday Catalog Part 2

September 30, 2014 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: A Muse Studio Holiday Catalog Part 2

The brand new A Muse Studio Holiday Catalog is full of wonderful new cling rubber stamps, coordinating dies, papers and embellishments. You’ll find wonderful fall stamps like woodland critters, leaves, arrows and feathers (just right for table décor and fall birthdays); fun Halloween themes like skeletons, potions, spiders and skulls (wonderful for party invites, treat bags and candy tags)  and great Christmas and Winter sets with Santa, ornaments, deer, woods, sentiments, snowflakes and snowmen (for package tags and holiday greeting cards). There are also 6?x6? pattern paper packs, felt in holiday colors (great for die cutting), red and white polka dot paper straws (perfect for parties) and metallic star papers.

This is my second review for this catalog, click here to check out my first review featuring Halloween ideas.

For my first project, shown above, I used the adorable Cozy Back stamp set. On a white cardstock base I added a strip of pattern paper from the 6″ x 6″ Christmas Sweater papers and some navy polka dot ribbon and stamped the sentiment from the same set in red. In the center I used the coordinating Cozy Back die set to die cut the stamped snowman, paper piecing his hat trim and scarf with a scrap of the same red snowflake paper and some navy Petit Polka Dot Cardstock (available in the regular catalog). The background snow flakes are from the Peace Be With You set.

Next instead of a card I wanted to make a pretty ornament, that could also be used as a gift tag. I stamped the angel and star from the Peace Be With You stamp set onto canvas paper, colored with markers, cut out and added a ribbon to hang it from.

Lastly I made a 6″ x 6″ accent page for a scrapbook using the Very Merry Add-On stamp set. On white cardstock I drew a circle as my guide and then using different colored green inks I stamped the different greenery branches, following around the shape of the circle. I then stamped the flower in red and star in yellow all around. I cut out the wreath shape, tied ribbon around it and mounted it on wood grain paper from the Christmas Sweater papers so it looks like it’s hanging on a door.
