There are so many fun techniques you can do with stencils, you can even combine them on one card like Lynnea did on this sweet card design. She ink blended the top half in one color then ink blended the bottom half with multiple colors and also added shimmery stencil paste 
over top of that. It gives a really great contrast to this cards background!
