I’m back to share another look at some of the brand new product from the Stampin’ Up 2018-2019 catalog! Click here if you missed part 1.
Inside the catalog you’ll find loads of new items like rubber stamps (wood and clear mount), clear stamps, new colors of cardstock, markers and ink pads (with a new style of ink pad too!), designer pattern and specialty papers, kits, punches, embossing folders, ribbons and embellishments. You’ll find themes in stamps, papers and embellishments like wild animals, tropical plants, trees, travel, birthday, stars, babies, sentiments, florals, outdoors, under the sea, textures and backgrounds, banners, alphabets, layering stamps and many more! There are also new tools like the Stamparatus positioning tool, and Shammy cleaner, an Embossing mat for the Big Shot along with coordinating dies and punches. New embellishments like washi tape, ribbons, wooden elements, faceted buttons, brads, adhesive backed sequins, pearls and enamel shapes.
For my first card, shown up top, I used the elephant and words from A Little Wild stamp set (this set was carried over from last year) along with the new Pick a Pennant stamp set. This versatile stamp set has rounded and triangular pennants with patterns, letters and accessories and will work great alone or in conjunction with so many other stamps. I stamped the elephant on a circle cut with the Stitched Shapes dies, adding the bow and a tiny pearl. The pennant was die cut with the coordinating Playful Pennants Framelits dies stamped with patterns and letters. I also stamped and die cut the bird, adding it to the banner. The patterned paper is from the Tropical Escape papers. I filmed a tutorial video showing how to make this card and it includes a look at the new Simply Shammy stamp cleaner. Next I used the Tropical Thinlits dies for an inlaid die cutting technique using green and yellow cardstocks, die cutting each shape from the different colors and swapping them to make multicolored leaves. I finished it with twine and a sentiment from the Tropical Chic stamps. The pattern papers are from Tropical Escape.
For my last card is used stamps from the Animal Outing stamp set. I stamped it with Staz- On black ink on watercolor paper and used the Stampin Up Watercolor pencils to color it. I wanted to keep it clean and simple so I left off any embellishments and only used layered cardstocks. I adore the little Koala peeking out of the Kangaroo’s pouch!
You can order products from the new Stampin’ Up catalog for 2018-2019 directly from Stampin’ Up, click here to visit their site or contact your local demonstrator, or click here if you need to find one.
