I love seeing ideas of stamping with everyday or unusual objects, stamping doesn’t have to just be manufactured rubber or clear photopolymer stamps. This technique from Lydia might be more closely related to printing but if you press something onto paper and get an image I still consider that stamping 🙂 For her amazing Duoprinting with Chlorophyll Cards she used actual plants! By placing green plants and leaves between two pieces of watercolor paper, placing that inside a folded piece of printer paper she ran then that “sandwich” through her manual die cutting machine creating two prints, one with more sold green, the other more of an outline of the plant. She added light touches of watercolor and wrote the name of the plant for a wonderful card to send any nature lover or gardener.
She’s sharing step by step directions and a video tutorial for this technique over on Splitcoast Stampers.
