What do you say, lets have a giveaway!! I’ve got a beautiful clear stamp set from Inkadinkado called Flower Garden I’d love to give away to one of you!
Let me say that I LOVE clear stamps! I’ve been stamping for a long time and I feel like clear stamps have really changed the way I stamp, I love to be able to see exactly where I’m stamping and I’ve accumulated *alot* of stamps over the years so storage is a big issue for me and clear stamps take up so much less space than wood mounted stamps.
So now I’d like to hear your thoughts about clear stamps, do you love them? hate them? never tried them, do you have a tip for using or cleaning clear stamps? I am *loving* clear stamps.
I used to stamp with regular wood mounted stamps, but I stopped papercrafting for awhile. Those stamps were taking up so much room! I ended up giving away most of my old stamps (I do regret giving up some of those old PSX stamps!)
I started up stamping again, and have accumulated almost as many stamps as I had before, but in such a compact space! And I get good bang for my buck – a set of clear stamps cost about what one stamp might have cost me before!
Like you, I like that I can see exactly where I’m placing it!
One of my favorite techniques is to stamp an image in black, and then quickly outline some of the edges in a white gel pen for a nice drop shadow look.
Now I’m concentrating on coming up with a good way to store them – I am probably going to either invest in a binder system, or I might just use photo boxes and divide them up by theme per box.
What a beautiful collection! I’ve never used clear stamps, but would certainly love to give them a try. I’m wondering if I could use these stamps with polymer clay? Now my mind is in think mode. Thanks for this giveaway.

I don’t have a lot of stamps because they were so costly when you had to buy a wood mounted block for each one. Now that the clear stamps are here, they are more economical and space savers. I have a cricut so I cut and paste or embellish my die cuts.
I have never used them before!
They look wonderful.
I could see experimenting with making a mini mosaic of cut paper and putting one on top…

At first I didn’t like them but as I got used to them…now I love them. Takes up less space and the cost effectiveness is a consideration. I sold most of my wood mounted stamps at my LSS garage sales and was able to buy new items with my credits.
I haven’t tried them, but hope this is my chance too….smile.

DeeAnn- Yes you can use clear stamps on clay! When I’ve done it I’ve use a clear ink pad to ink up the stamp first to act as a release so it doesn’t get stuck and be sure to clean the stamp right away if any clay does get on it.

I’m quite a newbie stamper I have to admit but am getting very quickly addicted. What I like about some clear stamps is that they are quite flexible and so don’t limit you. I only have a couple but have found by holding them in the palm of your hand you can ink non flat items – say if you were altering. I managed to even stamp a skull around a rubber duckies bottom 😉
I do love the clear stamps. They are very easy to store in the CD plastic cases and don’t take up much room.

I love clear stamps for their accuracy in placement. I have ruined many a card by stamping with wooden blocks which were not correctly mounted! I like to use them with powders and heat them up with a heat gun for a molten metal effect. Then embellish with gems etc.
I have a lot of stamps with a few of the clear stamps. I really do appreciate these with all of there excellent assets for a person to use. Your set that your are offering for a give away prize is so gorgeous…it is so kind of you to give us all a chance for this! Have a GREAT rest of the day!!! =0)
The thing that I love about clear stamps is that it is so easy to see if they are placed correctly, especially if you are using a technique that requires multiple impressions. One of my favorite things to do is to stamp an image with a color that is slightly darker than the cardstock I am unsing, then stamp again with a slight offset in white – it looks like the image is embossed!
This set you are offering looks like it would be perfect for inchies – I hope I win!
I have never used clear stamps before because it is not easy for me to find them. Anyway, I am very tempted to go for some of them… This set you are giving away is such a great collection for us who love flower designs and the opportunity of winning them is just great.

I use both, wood mounted stamps and clear stamps. I agree with you about wood stamps taking up too much valuable storage space. I do find the clear stamps don’t pick up as much ink so I usually have to stamp it twice which is not a problem since I can see exactly where to stamped.
This set is exquisite.I think the USA is far ahead of the UK in the craft area- just keep it coming WE LOVE IT
These Inkadinkado Clear Stamp would provide hours of stamping with endless projects. I just started using clear stamps and I love them. I have used wooden stamps for years. The clear stamps are 100% better. You can see where you are placing them and they are easy to store. I would never go back to wooden stamps again!

I love clear stamps. They store away nicely. I bought a Ranger Spray to clean mine although I don’t like the bubble gum smell. They make stamping so much easier since I can see exactly where I’m stamping at! 🙂
I love clear stamps also for all the right reasons…see thru and you can stash more in a smaller space. I use baby wipes in the tub to clean all my stamps and other crafty messes for that matter.
i am new to stamping but prefer the clear stamps that i have tried. its an extra element that i can add to my collages. very cool. thanks for the chance in your give-away.
I’ve seen them in craft stores. I have never tried them. I really want to try them out.
I love my clear stamps. Love that they don’t take up so much space and that I can see a whole sheet of them at a time to determine which one I want. I usually go the baby wipe route w/cleaning but they still get stained.
I love clear stamps because you can more easily position the images. To clean, I use stamp cleaner (my favorite is the one for Staz On ink) and a toothbrush for stubborn stains.
I’ve always wanted to try clear stamps. Normally I don’t enter giveaways like these, but I think these particular designs are quite lovely, and so here I am, posting a comment in the hopes that I can give them a new loving home. 🙂

What a lovely set of stamps. It’s true that these stamps are a lot easier to store (I still have a drawer full of wooden block stamps) … but the beauty of them for me is the perfect positioning on your project. With a clear acrylic block, and clear stamps you know EXACTLY where you are stamping. A God-send in my eyes.

I agree with everything that has been said before me. I just LOVE, Love, love clear stamps! If something needs to be embossed or stamped they can be used. I also use mine for polymer clay. And, if you really want a neat trick try them on rolled fondant and cut in square with a pie crimper to embellish the sides of cakes or the top of cup cakes, and dont forget the edible powder coloring something like working with Pearlx. Mind you that you must keep your kitchen stamps seperate from your stamping and embossing stamps! But hey, they are so inexpensive sometimes I buy more than one. Even JoAnn fabrics has them sometine for a dollar each!
I have never used clear stamps before, but I imagine that they are great. I am always having problems with lining my stamps up. Its a real frustrating job. I would imagine, if it was a clear stamp, getting it in the right place would be a breeze!

I love them because I am already sort of sloppy. Being able to see reduces the crookedness of my stamp! Also, they take take so much less room than the mounted rubber ones!

When I fist tried them I didn’t know anything about them and tried to stamp with no block. Isn’t that silly?
Most of my stamps are the wood-mounted versions, but I have a few clear ones. I’m ambivalent about them – on one hand, they take up less space, but sometimes it seems a hassle to not only find the stamp I want to use, but also where I put that %#^% acrylic block! LOL
I love working with clear stamps because I work with children and they get a better stamped image with them.
I love being able to see where I am positioning my stamp… I have a ton of wood block stamps… but buy fewer and fewer… clear stamps are not only more economical but so much easier to store.

I love clear stamps. It is really great to be able to see where you are stamping. When layering stamps, there is no more guess work, mistakes, and extra time.

i’ve never used clear stamps before but i’d like to try them out. I haven’t done much stamping (mainly cause I don’t have any) but since I work with paper a lot it makes sense I should start.
I love the clear stamps. You can see exactly where you are placing them, not like the wooden ones. And they take up less space which means I have can buy lots more of them!
Alison- If you are using a good high quality clear stamp then Staz-On ink is just fine to use. I’ve used to frequently over the past few years on my clear stamps and have no problems at all. It does stain them but it also stains rubber as well. What you do need to beware of is not getting Staz-On cleaner on your acrylic blocks, it can cause cracks in them, so remove the stamp from the block before using Staz-On cleaner.

I found my first set of clear stamps when I was still teaching, it was hollow geometric shapes meant for making learning games. I dearly loved those stamps, and still enjoy the “I can see where it’s going-ness” of clear stamps!
