Giveaway and Review: Stampers Sampler Magazine

In a time when craft magazines seem to come and go The Stampers’ Sampler has stood the test of time. I remember reading it many, many years ago when I first started stamping and was thrilled in 2009 to have one of my cards published in an issue. I think it’s still around because it’s always chocked full of wonderful stamping ideas, inspirations and techniques with all different styles from vintage to whimsical and everything in between. No matter what type of stamper you are you’re sure to find some to inspire you in The Stampers’ Sampler Magazine.

Stampington and Company, the publishers of The Stampers’ Sampler, recently sent me the latest issue, April/May/June 2016 and I’ve spent so much time flipping through, enjoying all the different card and project ideas. This issue has a great collection of cards including ones made by stamping on balsa wood, cards with a sweet vintage flair, doodle fairies, paper shoes, incorporating fabric on your cards, stenciled cupcakes, patriotic cards, hand lettered envelopes and loads more. There’s also a free carousel horse template and a pretty pink pattern artist paper to use for your next projects.

Giveaway and Review: Stampers Sampler Magazine

I was particularly inspired by two collections, the first was the Fair Adventures cards by Ginny Deiling using fairy and doodle stamps with a masked inked border. I made my own version of one of these adorable cards.

I also loved Autumn Simmons Clark’s Wrapped Up in Books and Birds cards so I made one inspired by her designs, the torn paper flowers add such a nice distressed touch.

The Stamplers’ Sampler can be found at your local hobby, craft or book store or order directly on line here.

So now it’s your turn to get inspired by The Stampers’ Sampler magazine because I’ve got an extra copy of this most recent issue to giveaway to one lucky reader. Simply leave a comment below, one comment per person, US residents only, winner will be picked at random. Giveaway runs from now through 4/19/16. Good luck!
