Christmas in July Card Ideas using Stamps and Gouache

Christmas in July Card Ideas using Stamps and Gouache

On this, the last day of July, I wanted to include one last Christmas in July post to help you get a jump start on your Holiday cards this year. Sandy Allnock is sharing 11 wonderful card ideas that she created using stamps from Colorado Stamp Company that have been painted with gouache. If you’re not familiar gouache is a type of watercolor but it’s more opaque than traditional watercolor and provides a bold, rich color. On her blog she’s posted a video tutorial with lots of tips and tricks for using gouache to color stamps like using a stamping tool so you can stamp, paint and easily line up to stamp again over top, which is helpful because the paint will cover some of the image and this over stamping technique will give a clean crisp finished line.

Click here to visit the Sandy Allnock blog and watch her video tutorial and see the rest of the card designs.
