7 Techniques with Watercolor Brush Pens (and a Discount!)

7 Techniques with Watercolor Brush Pens (and a Discount!)

I recently got the chance to try out the Watercolor Brush Pens from Chalkola. Last year I shared how you could use their Chalk Markers in your paper crafting (click here if you missed it) and now they’ve been nice enough to send me their Watercolor Brush Pens to share with you.

These pens come in a set of 28, each one filled with liquid watercolor, they have a soft flexible nib, and the colors are very vibrant and pigmented, with a nice range of color shades. You also get a pack of watercolor paper and two empty water brushes, a pointed and a flat tip. Inside the package the markers are in 2 trays for easy storage.

I found these pens worked well on coated paper, like Bristol Smooth as well as on watercolor paper. They were easy to use, the colors are very saturated but they also blend out nicely for shading, shadowing and gradation. To best see how these work I’ve filmed a video including 7 different ways you can use these pens in card making for coloring stamped images, die cut shapes and backgrounds. Visit my Youtube channel to watch or check it out down below.

These markers are available from Chalkola by clicking here and if you enter coupon code: HEATHER10 , you’ll recieve 10% off your order.
