This duo of amazing cards from Melody has one card with bold, bright colors on a stenciled background and a layer of vellum with die cut pennants. The other is more pastel with a pretty soft rainbow, stamped Irish blessing and die cut details. The pops of gold has a nice metallic shimmer too! Even if you’re not Irish, it’s still lots of fun to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! This stunning card from Candice uses printed pattern paper for a quick and easy St. Patrick’s Day background with die cut pot of gold and long colorful rainbow across a slimline card design. The heat embossed white sentiment finishes it off perfectly. She used products from Whimsy Stamps for this idea.
If you don’t have Leprechaun stamps then Gnomes are a terrific stand in! Amy dressed her Gnomes in green clothes and colored their hair red for a darling design. She used products from Tim Holtz and Ranger for a mixed media idea with a stamped and foiled background and die cut and stamped top hat, Shamrock and collar creating a funky idea of a mans head (very Salvador Dali!). You can add a top hat to any stamped boy or girl, give them green clothes and ta-da, you’ve got a special St. Patrick’s Day card. Cindy used a paper piecing technique to give her stamped girl a polka dot green dress, adding die cut Shamrocks all around too. I love the ticket style layers she used too! This breathtaking card from Lynn has so many cool techniques. She created her blue sky with an ink smooshing technique, the rainbow is stenciled and splattered with gold, the hills are die cut and the pot o’ gold and shamrocks and stamped and water colored with Zig markers.
