This cute girl and her little dog are having fun sledding down the hills on a sweet card from Elaine. She used stamps from Sweet November, coloring them with Copic Markers. Notice how she added glitter on the scalloped frame just where the snowy hills are, nice touch!. Watch her coloring video on the Marker Geek blog.
Amanda created a touching scene with House Mouse stamps and a wonderful quote for a winter scene right before Spring of a Tulip popping through the snow. She added a pink frame to pull together with the touches of pink in the scene. Learn more at the Spellbinders blog.
This stunning scene has stamped snowy blue trees in the background with die cut branches with bold red berries and Cardinals that really pop. I love the way the “Snow” word die cut forms a “hill” and a place for the stamped sentiment. Take a closer look at the Penny Black blog.
This magical Yeti is having a blast sledding among the mountains on a slimline card from Suzy. Slimline styles are not only fun but allow you to be able to create large scenes and fit a lot of images on one card. I love the teal and red color combo and the fun puny stamped sentiment! This frosty scene of a ski lift and village in the snowy mountains is so delightful. It was created using all dies and colored cardstock with a heat embossed sentiment added. I spotted it on the Concord and 9th Instagram page.
Mindy created 5 different Polar Bear cards using new stamps from Taylored Expressions for different occasions like Winter, Birthday, Anniversary and more. If you don’t love coloring in stamps this card has no coloring, it was added with coordinating stencils and inking. She’s posted a video tutorial on the Taylored Expressions blog.
If you’re not confident in creating scenes try using paper that already has a scene printed on, like this adorable Penguin snowball fight from Sandra. She stamped and colored the penguins on a snowy hill, colored them, carefully cut them out around the stamped edges and placed them on the printed paper. Take a closer look at the Stamping Bella blog.
Davina used stamps from The Greeting Farm to make a charming Winter scene of a girl dressed up all cozy with some cute snowmen on a Pop Up Box Card. This style has several layers for dimension and can fold flat for mailing. I love the color combo she used! Learn more at the Popsiclesticks blog.
This amazing mixed media Snowman card from Amy R. has stamping, sewing, ink smooshing, heat embossing, masking and die cutting. You can watch her video tutorial on the Prairie Paper and Ink blog.
Red and teal seem to be really trendy for cards this Winter, Deena has also used it for her sweet Cardinal card. She used dies for her bird on a branch and layered sentiment and added some pretty scalloped details die cut along the edge too. I came across her idea in The Stamps of Life gallery.
And last but certainly not least is this super cute card from Caitlin. She used darling penguins with an Igloo stamp and an embossed sentiment and snowflakes for a scene that actually lights up! Using Halo lights from Pear Blossom, you push the button and… let there be light! I spotted her design on the Caitlin Anna Lee Cards Instagram page.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these Snowy Winter cards and have been inspired to design some yourself for any Winter occasion you have coming up.
