With the Winter Holidays over it’s now time to start thinking about Valentine’s Day projects. These cool cards from Laura are a throw back to the 70’s with groovy, colorful die cut letters that spell Love, backed with vellum. The background uses a wavy heart stenciled for ink blending and dry embossing. Watch her video tutorial on the Laura Fadora blog.

This sweet card from Kelly has a stenciled background with love and hearts. But the star of this design is the fold out center that uses a die to create a 3″ square that opens to reveal a fun coupon inside for a date. If it’s still Wintery where you live during Valentine’s Day you can have fun incorporating that into your Valentine cards. This fluffy Yeti holding a heart is a nice way to let a friend know how much you care about them. I love the little tree paper and the dry embossed background for added texture. If, like me, your significant other is a gamer then this card is perfect. This retro handheld game system with pull out game made with the base made from dies and stamped additions will delight anyone who loves video games! I spotted this on the caitlinannaleecards Instagram page.
These yummy dipped strawberries make for a super sweet card design. The berries are cut from colored cardstocks with a stamped sentiment. This amazing easel card from Jennifer stands open on it own with a big bundle of heart shaped balloons. This pretty in pink card from Jeanne also has some pops of red too. She created a grid of small doilies with stamped images on circles with scalloped edges.
