Once you’ve finished creating your Holiday cards don’t put away those supplies just yet, they can be used to created other projects like gift tags! Use your stamps, dies, pattern papers and embellishments to make festive Christmas gift tags and take your present wrapping to a whole other level. You can also create cards with coordinating gift tags to make it super special. Today we’ll take a look at some wonderful handmade Christmas gift tag ideas to get you inspired.

Gaylynn created these adorable Santa gift tags with stamps colored with alcohol based makers, adding fun sentiments. She die cut the arched shape, adding plaid scalloped borders below. Watch a quick coloring video at the Unity Stamps blog.
Bobbi used dies to create her three different darling tags, making them to look like tree ornaments, the recipient could even hang them on their tree. On the back she used “To: From:” and some sentiments stamps. Check out her easy instructions on the Papertrey Ink blog.
Arsenia used a snowflake stencil and blue ink to create a nice background for her gift tags. She die cut them and another blue cardstock layer using ticket shaped dies and added die cut and stamped images over top. I love the fuzzy twine she tied them with, so wintery! Sharon used dies to make her adorable elf tag. She used plaid and polka dot pattern papers for his outfit, a rub on for his face and added some subtle color with Copic Markers. I love the bright pinks Monica used on her sweet marshmallow snowman tags. She used concentric faux stitched circle dies for the base with pink cardstock and a layer of pink stenciled snowflakes. There’s also fun sentiments and little accents added too. I spotted her idea on the Whimsy Stamps Instagram page.
Nora added lots of dimension and texture to her fun Mickey and Minnie Mouse tags. On the base layer she dry embossed the cardstocks and then die cut them, there’s several more layers in different cardstock colors with eyelets at the top for the ribbon. Here’s a stunning example of a card with a coordinating tag from Bobbi. These vintage inspired designs used dies colored with Copics, pattern papers and stamped sentiments. Oh my goodness how cute are these tags from Mindy!? She die cut the stockings, using a sweater stencil on the red, adding a white scalloped band and green toe. Inside she tucked a stamped and colored bear peeking out with a glittery die cut candy cane. I love how they open like a tiny card with the stamped “To: From:” on the inside. Diane’s beautiful Victorian inspired tags have die cut bases with snowflake shapes at the bottom cut from metallic gold cardstock and foiled pattern papers with layers of foiled and printed embellishments, tied with lovely gold ribbons. I spotted her designs at the Anna Griffin blog.
Debrah combined stamping, die cutting and stenciling for her pretty Christmas gift tags, adding tiny pearls for extra shine. I love how she used different shaped hole punches at the top of the tags to thread the twine through, very cute and clever! I came across these on the Gina K. Instagram page.
Crystals tag has a darling girl all dressed up for Christmas with a sleigh full of gifts. She stamped her images and colored them with Copic Markers.
