Beth’s sweet Easter card has a wonderful flat shaker element filled with confetti that has a stamped background with a flower basket. All around are little stamped chicks along with a cute snail and a large chick dressed as the Easter bunny. I spotted her idea on the Pink and Main Instagram page.
In addition to blooming flowers in the Spring there’s lots more new life with so many sweet baby animals being born. I’ve notice this year in particular that many paper crafting companies have been creating stamps, dies, stencils and pattern papers with lots of darling ducklings and cute chicks. These adorable little fowl are perfect to include on your Springtime and Easter cards as well as for Baby cards too. So let’s take a look at some fresh Spring Card Ideas with Chick and Ducks.

I love the yellow and black color combo on Renee’s precious card! She’s got layers of plaid pattern papers with black cardstock mats with a frame in the center that draws the eye to the cute stamped duck and a fun pom pom ribbon. There’s also a stamped sentiment with small die cut gold sun. Take a closer look at the Art Impressions blog.
On Chari’s egg-stra special card there’s a bunny pretending to be a chick, all dressed up with fun die cuts. Notice how she used a white gel pen to add cool feather details. He’s standing on top of pile of stenciled and glittered eggs with a scalloped oval and pattern paper background behind. There’s also some twine and a stamped sentiment too. Dressing up also seems to be a trend this year like on Nina’s egg-cellent Easter card where the chicks have on rabbit ear hats. She used a trendy faux postage design created with dies for the edges and perforations, stenciling each little scene and adding a few die cut designs over top for extra dimension. Hop on over to the Waffle Flower blog for a closer peek.
Chris’s adorable card is actually shaped like a chick, she used dies to create the chicks shape, adding layers for the wings, beak and feet. There’s also a fun die cut and layered sentiment and some flower accents too. I spotted her idea in her Chris Lawlor gallery at The Stamps of Life.
If you want to create quick and easy cards try using pre-printed images like Jamie did here. These two cute cards use lots of pattern papers for fabulous backgrounds, along with printed die cuts, she also added a stamped and die cut sentiment. Find more info at the Not 2 Shabby blog.
Samantha’s darling card has not only chicks and ducks both but also a sweet bunny rabbit too. She created little scenes in each opening of the frame die with stamping and ink blending for a beautiful sky and grass. Her card uses new stamps from Sweet November.
Gudrun’s stunning 3D card is simply amazing. The round design creates a space for decorating on both sides with this sweet duckling on one side and a fun frog on the other, with lots of die cut and pattern paper decorating all around. Rick used 3 different pattern papers on his bright and cheerful chick card. He’s sharing some great tips on mixing colors and size of patterns when making cards with several paper layers as well as how he used OLO alcohol based markers to color in the stamped chick in a video tutorial over on the C. C. Designs blog.
Christine’s card has three die cut faux stitched circles of white layered with black with a cute little spring animal in each, a lamb, bunny and chick, that have been stamped, simply colored and die cut. She stamped and die cut her sentiment and placed it in the center for a nice clean card design. I spotted this idea on the Gina K. Designs Instagram page.
I love the puny sentiment on this adorable card! There’s a layered stenciled confetti background with stamped and colored overlapping eggs with a chick popping out of one, ready to wish someone a happy Spring day. Take a closer peek over at the Hero Arts blog.
Arana created a lovely Springtime background using floral pattern paper with a wide border of polka dots and scalloped edges with tied twine. The fuzzy swinging chick was stamped and colored with Copic Markers and a fluffy cloud background stenciled behind. Watch her quick video at the Unity Stamps blog.
I hope all these fantastic cards have inspired you to create some wonderful cards this Spring and Easter including some little baby chicks and ducks!
