How adorable are all these cute critters jumping in the pile of Fall leaves? The stamps are from Trinity and I spotted this card on Lauren Taylor Made’s Scrapbook.com gallery.

Being a big fan of nature I love Autumn, seeing the leaves change, watching the squirrels gathering nuts for winter and the birds eating the new berries. Capturing those elements on cards is one of my favorite, and just by adding a little bird or animal to Fall themes it adds such a special little extra touch to handmade cards. I’ve gathered a bountiful amount of Autumn Cards that feature birds and animals to help inspired you.

Lynnea used a large layering stamp for the background of this cute shaker card. She used different ink colors for the leaves and acorns, stamping the outlines in black. She added a stamped squirrel and die cut sentiment over top of the acetate for the focal points of the card. Learn more over on the LDRS blog.

A technique I really enjoy is coloring stamped images with colored pencils on Kraft cardstock, the pencils really stand out against the darker background. Lydia used this idea for a stunning card with a fox in a woodland scene. This would make such a great masculine card! Visit the Hero Arts blog for a video tutorial.
