Sandie created her own Halloween treat boxes from thick double sided pattern paper, adding fun little stamped spooks with die cut spider webs to each one. Find cutting, scoring and assembly direction at the Stampingbella blog.
Tim Holtz used his own line of products like stamps, crayons, specialty papers, inks and more to make this delightful clipboard treat bag, complete with tiny faux pencil. Find step by step directions at the Simon Says Stamp blog.
Shelly created a sweet tag to tie around her bag with pretty ribbon. On the tag she’s got a layer of pattern paper, a scalloped frame and a stamped and colored kitty cat dressed as a witch with a heat embossed sentiment. Learn more at the Stamping Smiles blog.
If Halloween isn’t your thing then use Autumn items to create your treat bags like these adorable designs from Kathy. She used printed tags to make the base, adding a clear bag inside and decorating the tags with ribbons, doilies, scalloped borders and cute printed die cut trees, pumpkins and animals. Take a closer look at the Doodlebug blog.
If you’re short on time there are lots of dies that allow you to cut out shapes from colored cardstocks for amazing boxes like this one. The base of the box is a house shape that opens at the top and it’s been turned into a Haunted House with spooky elements added like bats, cats, crooked trees and more. This die set can be found at Scrapbook.com.
Rena used a treat box die and added a spider web texture with an embossing folder for the base of her holder. She also included a cute stamped dragon and I love the added die cut key hole and key, so clever! All the products from this project come from Whimsy Stamps. I spotted it on her Rena Jung Instagram page.
Here’s a really quick and easy holder, an oooky spooky haunted house printable. Print the milk carton style box, cut, glue and fill with candy, you could also add extra embellishments or handmade tags too. Find the FREE printable at The Printables Fairy blog.
If you don’t want to hand out candy try another handmade item like these amazing bookmark designs from Tina! She used creepy and cute stamped girls like a Witch, The Bride, Vampire and a Cat, cardstock, pattern paper, ribbon and beads for the book marks, placing them into tall bags with stamped toppers. She shared these on her Tina Fry gallery at Scrapbook.com.
Tammy created both a treat box and treat bag for Halloween using cardstock for a fun matchbook style and a cool hinged box. Each one has stamped designs and tiny embellishments. Find a video tutorial for both over at the Cards by TLC blog.
Ooops, some witches got carried away making their potions and fell into their cauldrons on these fun dimensional treat boxes. You’ll find FREE SVG cut files to use with an electronic die cutting machine and directions on how to make these fun and funky boxes yourself over at the Main Road Digital Creations blog.
I hope you’ve found some cute or creepy ideas to make your own treat boxes and bags for Halloween and Autumn!
