Continuing on with this weeks reviews of upcoming summer publications from Stampington and Company we’re taking a peak at Take Ten Magazine. Take Ten focuses on quick and easy greeting cards that you can make in around 10 minutes. Inside you’ll find ideas and samples for making simple cards with big impacts with themes for every occasion and styles that range from quirky to vintage to elegant. For quick cards you can use items like patterned papers to easily add color, texture and pattern, rubber stamps stamped with colorful inks or one’s that don’t require a lot of coloring can add a great focal point without much added time, embellishments like ribbon, washi tape, sequins and rhinestones can add an easy wow factor.
In this issue I was inspired by a set of adorable jungle animal cards designed by Susan Paganucci and grabbed some wild animal stamps I have, stamped them out and added some quick color with colored pencils and made this easy fun card.
I also loved the layout of a card made by Rosemary Dennis using a banner shape and I took that idea and made this little fairy in a jar card.
