I’m so happy to be back to share with you another review for the Stampin’ Up! brand new Occasions catalog . It’s a supplement to the regular yearly catalog adding wonderful products for Valentine’s Day, Birthday’s, Spring, Mother’s and Father’s Day and lots more. There are new clear, cling and wood mounted stamps, pattern papers, die cuts, punches, kits and embellishments. The Occasions catalog runs from January 5th though May 31st 2016.
In case you missed them click here to my first Occasions review and here to see my second.
For my card shown above I used the Picture Perfect set. This set has several different layers for each stamp image that you stamp on top of each other for a very realistic look. I used the rose with 3 differentschades of pink ink. The words are from the same set and the butterfly is from Grateful Bunch stamp set. And the pattern papers are from the Have a Cuppa Paper Stack.
Next I used the cool Sunburst Thinlits die cuting out vellum and layering it over paper from the Have a Cuppa stack, I edged the vellum with ink and a sponge so it would stand out more. The words are from the Sunburst Saying stamp set, this set and the die work perfectly together! The ribbon is the Burmuda Bay Stitched Ribbon that I looped around the punched circle.
Lastly I used the Rose Wonder stamp set along with the Rose Garden Thinlits dies, the intricate dies are so detailed and line up perfectly with the stamps. I used the amazing Big Shot Die Brush to remove all the tiny die cut pieces, this is quickly becoming my favorite tools when die cutting!
