Product Review: A Muse Studio Stamps Part 2

July 16, 2015 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: A Muse Studio Stamps Part 2

I’m back with more inspiration from A Muse Studio. If you missed my first review click here to check it out.

The brand new A Muse Studio 2015-16 Catalog and Inspiration Guide is full of wonderful new cling mounted rubber stamp sets, fun coordinating thin metal die sets and great papers and accessories. You find products and idea samples for card making, party planning, gift giving, scrapbooking and home decor projects. With themes from birthday, weddings, pets, travel, babies, sports, holidays and everyday.

For my first card, shown above, I used the Hooray stamp set, inking the bear with a light tan ink and then rolling the edges in a darker brown. I used markers directly on the stamp to color the strawberry so I got 2 colors. For the hill and clouds I used the Landscape dies but instead of die cutting them I used them like a stencil and inked the edges with  sponge and ink pad. The pattern paper is from the Petite Hexagon papers.

Next I tried a technique I’ve been wanting to have a go at for awhile called a no line technique, using a very light color ink to stamp with and then using alcohol markers to color with, it looks like there no stamping at all. I used a thin black pen for the facial features. The stamp is from the Girlfriends set, the words are from Hooray. The polka dot paper is from Petite Polka Dots.

Lastly I stamped just part of the bike from the Basket Case set, adding the flower pot inside the basket and the words on more of the Petite Polka Dot paper for a small 4×4 note card.

I’ll be back at the end of the month with more inspiration from A Muse Studio so be sure to check back!

All these fabulous new products are available right now from A Muse Studio, you can shop on-line here at their website or contact your local consultant to order or host a party.
