Product Review: 5 x 7 Fab File Craft Room Storage

August 28, 2017 by Heather Holbrook

Product Review: 5 x 7 Fab File Craft Room Storage

The Medium 5″ x 7″ Fab File organizer from Totally Tiffany is perfect for storing and organizing smaller flat craft items. Just like all the sizes of Fab Files it’s made from sturdy clear plastic, it has a flap closure with a handle and two outside label tabs (one on top, one on the side) for marking what’s inside. It also comes with 6 file folders with labels to attach to the tabs and card inserts for notes. The Fab Files come in several different sizes but the medium is great for keeping and organizing your smaller projects and products like blank or hand made cards, envelopes, photos, thin metal dies, embossing folders and more. The Fab File comes flat but it’s super fast and easy to put together, assembly directions are included. You can fit a surprising amount inside and the handle makes it easy to take with you to classes or crops.

I tried many different products to see what would fit in the Medium Fab File and found it’s perfect for clear stamp sets, most popular stamp company’s (for instance Lawn Fawn and Close to My Heart , etc) fit inside perfectly. I have a hard time organizing and keeping track of my embossing folders but this file is great, I can use the file folders to separate out patterns and write on the note card exactly what’s in each one. If you’re a card makers the 5 x 7 size is great for storing cards that you have already made, you can make notes on birthdays and special dates. You can also store blank cards and envelopes inside. If you’re scrapbooker it’s perfect for organizing photos, instead of writing on the backs of the photos you can make notes and keep track of dates, important info, what scrapbooks you want to put them in, etc on the note cards and they’ll be safe until you’re ready to use them.

I filmed a quick video so you can see the 5″ x 7″ Fab File in action, watch it above or click here to go directly to Youtube.

I think the 5″ x 7″ Fab File is something I’m going to need several of for my craft room! If you’ve got lots of dies, embossing folders, photos and clear stamps you need to organize give the Medium Fab File a try, they can be purchased directly from Totally Tiffany by clicking here.
